RT Article T1 Company culture and prevention of corruption in Germany, China and Russia JF European journal of criminology VO 15 IS 3 SP 255 OP 277 A1 Bussmann, Kai-Detlef 1955- A2 Niemeczek, Anja A2 Vockrodt, Marcel LA English YR 2018 UL https://krimdok.uni-tuebingen.de/Record/1580070957 AB A Web-based survey of 15 German companies with an international profile studied the main factors effectively preventing corruption. Results showed that the most important preventive factors were a company culture that promotes integrity, along with strong knowledge of norms and a high level of acceptance of the company anti-corruption programme. Using the example of Russia and China, the survey also studied how far German parent companies succeed in exporting their company cultures and prevention measures to foreign branches. Results showed that hierarchic-elitist cultures increase the susceptibility to corruption and impede the preventive effect of single anti-corruption measures.
