Description
Summary:Until a recently perceived surge in delinquency, Asian or Pacific Islander (API) youth appeared to be relatively protected from negative developmental outcomes such as delinquency, school failure, and teen pregnancy. This article describes relevant characteristics of the pre- dominantly API youth detained in Hawaii's only youth detention facility and examines their recidivism rate after release.
