| 678 | |b Koen Ponnet is an assistant professor and researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences and at the Faculty of Law of University of Antwerp (UA). He teaches General and Social Psychology, Sociological and Psychological Aspects of Safety, Public Safety and Social Cohesion, and Introduction in Scientific Research. He also teaches several theoretical and methodological courses at the Higher Institute for Family Sciences (KULeuven) and the Antwerp Maritime Academy (AUHA). He is associated with the research group Media, ICT, and Interpersonal Relations in Organisations and Society (UA), the Herman Deleeck Center for Social Policy (UA) and the research group Social Competition and Law (UA) .His main research interests are the (mental) health, risk and problem behavior of adolescents and adults, both off-line and on-line. In his research he pays attention to the situation of vulnerable groups, like those who are at risk of poverty. He co-operated in many national and international data collection projects, and has extensive expertise in developing questionnaires and research designs. | ||
