|b is a professor in the Department of Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology at the University of West Georgia. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University in 2006. After completing his dissertation, Dr. Noori taught for three years in the Department of International Studies at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. His areas of interest include political sociology, globalization, historical sociology, and development--primarily in the context of the Middle East and Central Asia.
